Commissions

While most my work is based on real life observation and personal experience, I have, at times, recreated a landscape photo of a sentimental place or personally historical location for clients. Examples of this include a faded small polaroid photo of an old farm or a view from a mountain house deck a client wanted to have in their permanent residence. Recently someone wanted a recreation of a digital cell phone photo of the path they walked through the dunes to their favorite beach spot. It was recreated in the grand size of a landscape paitning with the feel and texture of orignal art. I was commissioned to do a collection of fish species watercolor studies for a classic lake house cabin. These options can be discussed on an individual basis.

Paint At Your Location/Bartering

One option that has become popular is to do a series of commissioned scenes based on/while at a location. In this case, bartering has proven to be a popular arrangement. A client who owned a farmhouse in Bucks County, Pa, and a home in the US Virgin Islands wanted paintings of her homes. We bartered the cost of rent vs. art and I stayed at the USVI property while I was doing the paintings. It can be a win-win for homeowners and a great opportunity for me to visit new places. Some have seen this as an opportunity to capture value in their off-peak season. Let's talk! Contact me here.
