Pine Barrens Scene Sold

The day I was in the Pine Barrens of South Jersey painting this is so vivid in my memory still. It was amazing to me that on such a beautiful day in a relatively populous part of the world I could be there for two hours and only encountered one dad and his daughter on their trail bikes. There were beavers working maybe 100 yards away and really that was about it. True tranquility. It used to be hard to sell the pieces I felt most attached to. I have learned over the years that parting with them serves to motivate me to try and find those perfect places, and moments again.
