I saw a documentary on an Octopus, then did some reading about these fascinating, intelligent self-aware beings. Some scientists believe they could even have the capacity to be as evolved as primates perhaps in some other galaxy! It inspired me to paint this piece. I personally decided that the octopus, squid, and their kin are better to appreciate as a subject for my art instead of my appetizer from now on.
